ABOUT ABOUT

On Friday, August 11, savage masterminds plan world domination, and only one man can stop them!

James Bond is back on the big screen, as Exhumed Films and The Mahoning Drive-In Theater present BOND SALE 002, 003 doses of 007 classics to fill your night with high adventure, all presented on original Cinemascope 35mm prints, filling the largest outdoor screen on the east coast!

Thrill to Sean Connery, George Lazenby, and Roger Moore in films that set the standard for cinematic action and adventure, globe-trotting tales of sinister world-changing schemes, and the suave secret agent with a license to kill, or be killed. Fill your ears with the lush scores and eyes with the gadgets, cars, and stunts that made these films all-time genre greats!

First! Sean Connery IS James Bond in YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE (1967)…and twice is the only way to live! Bond finds himself in the Land Of The Rising Sun, working with Japanese intelligence to thwart a plan to launch a world war by the evil genius Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Donald Pleasence)!  Amazing action, stunning sets, and ninjas!  Theme song by Nancy Sinatra!

Then! Far Up! Far Out! Far More! George Lazenby steps into the role of a lifetime for his only outing as Bond, in what some fans consider to be one of the best in the series, ON HER MAJESTY’S SECRET SERVICE (1969)!  Bond goes undercover at a mountaintop allergy research institute in the Swiss Alps in an attempt to thwart another sinister plan by Blofeld (this time played by a pre-KOJAK Telly Savalas), meeting and falling in love with the Countess Tracy di Vicenzo (Diana Rigg) in the process.  A more serious, “back to basics” entry in the series, featuring pulse-pounding car chases and ski action, and a bit more of a look “inside” the world’s greatest superspy.  End theme song by Loius Armstrong!

Next!  It’s the biggest.  It’s the best. It’s Bond.  And B-e-y-o-n-d. Nobody does it better than Roger Moore in THE SPY WHO LOVED ME (1977), taking on an evil underwater megalomanic, with the aid of a KGB agent with a grudge, Major Anya Amasova (Barbara Bach).  Featuring the iconic Lotus Esprit, the introduction of Jaws (Richard Kiel), and a pre-credits stunt that had audiences gasping, then cheering when it first hit screens, many Bond fans consider this Moore’s best. With a disco-fied score by Marvin Hamlisch and theme song by Carly Simon!

It’s three times the action!  Three times the adventure!  A triple-Bonded thrill show!  It’s BOND SALE 002!

Gates open at 6pm each night. Showtime at Sundown.
