On Sunday, October 16th, it’s VINCENT PRICE TWICE as the Master Of Menace graces the Mahoning Drive-In Theater screen with a deadly double feature of fright! Join us as we celebrate the Deadly Duke of Debonair, with two tales of terror guaranteed to goose your bumps and shiver your spine, presented in glorious 35mm!
We begin this night of creative comeuppance with Mr. Price in the role of THE ABOMINABLE DR. PHIBES (1971), American International Pictures’ touching tale of revenge from beyond the grave, with Price starring as a malevolent musicologist composing symphony of terror for those who wronged him. Entertainingly ornate methods of dispatch and a dark vein of humor run through this 1970s fan favorite, with art deco sets and humorously horrific set pieces.
The evening continues and concludes with the classic 50’s 3D shocker (presented in glorious 2D!) HOUSE OF WAX (1953) with velvety-voiced Vincent as the proprietor of a waxwork house of horrors, around which grisly murders multiply. Co-starring Charles Bronson and Carolyn “Morticia” Jones, this 50s shocker will bring the house down and melt your last nerve!
All films presented via original 35mm prints.
