On Sunday, October 20, it’s time to keep calm and zombie on as The Mahoning Drive-In Theater presents a special 20th anniversary 35mm screeing of Edgar Wright’s horror-comedy classic SHAUN OF THE DEAD!
Shaun and his friends want nothing more in their humdrum lives than to relax with a pint at the Winchester. Unfortunately, an inconvenient outbreak of flesh-eating zombies get in their way, and it’s time to pick up the nearest cricket bat, weapon, or copy of the BATMAN soundtrack to hack their way through the gut-munching glut of slow-moving dead pedestrians to survive the day.
Edgar Wright took the cast of his cult UK TV hit SPACED and translated that show’s fast and furious pop culture referencing to the big screen in this intimate yet apocalyptic slacker zombie comedy, starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Kate Ashfield, Kucy Davis, and other UK comedy stars, an international hit that birthed “The Cornetto Trilogy”
We’re thrilled to bring Wright’s breakout modern horror classic back to the big, BIG screen on 35mm, and invite you all to dress up in your retail finest and party like it’s 2004!
While it may only be a single feature, it’s a night’s worth of fun with a live preshow DJ set, themed raffle, and more Mahoning mischief then you can shake severed limb at!
