TARANTINO-A-GO-GO! Vol. II (A Quentin Tarantino 35mm Tribute)

By Mahoning Drive-in Theater (other events)

3 Dates Through Oct 02, 2022

Exhumed Films and The Mahoning Drive-In Theater present the second weekend dedicated to the king of cinematic cool, Quentin Tarantino, with TARANTINO-A-GO-GO on September 30th to October 2nd!  Five Tarantino classics plus two secret features that inspired the films being shown, plus vintage themed trailers from the Exhumed archive!  It’s three nights of stylish switcheroos, snappy patter and virtuosic violence, all on 35mm!

Night 1 begins on Friday, September 30th with the film that started it all for Tarantino, the heist-gone-wrong aftermath set to the Super Sounds Of The Seventies, RESERVIOR DOGS (1992), starring Tim Roth, Harvey Keitel, Steve Buscemi, and a roster of ragtag robbers who smell a rat.

Up next is  Pam Grier’s triumphant return to the big screen in the Elmore Leonard adaptation JACKIE BROWN (1997), in which she costars with Robert Forster, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert DeNiro and more in this crime/blaxploitation mashup.

We follow this pair of criminal case studies with a secret feature containing the cinematic DNA of these neo crime classics!

Saturday, October 1st for action, beginning with Kurt Russell as a motorhead behind the wheel of a mean, murderous machine that’s built for speed, with Zoe Bell as his target, in DEATH PROOF (2007), originally the first half of the Tarantino/Rodriguez GRINDHOUSE double feature.

Once you’ve let your motor cool down, get ready for some Nazi hunting in WWII with the INGLORIOUS BASTERDS (2009), led by Brad Pitt!

We finish off the night with a super secret final film that planted the seeds for one of the night's previous features!

Sunday, October 2nd is western night, with Tarantino’s snowbound ode to Italian oaters, THE HATEFUL EIGHT (2015), starring Samuel L. Jackson, Jenniferrr Jason Leigh, and Kurt Russell, preceded by an extended trailer reel of Spaghetti western previews!

Come early for themed eats, live dj, raffles, cosplay & more..

General Gates at 6pm each night. Showtime at Sundown.

General Ticket: $10 (per day). General+Overnight: $20 (per day)
