Remake Double-Take is back…to creep, and leap, and glide and slide across the floor…
That’s right, THE BLOB oozes across the giant outdoor screen on April 9-10, as the Mahoning Drive-In Theater, in association with the legendary Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, PA (home of the world renowned Blobfest), present a double feature so indescribable, so indestructible, nothing can stop it!
We’ll start off the evening with a digital presentation of the Criterion restoration of the original 1958 Sci-Fi monster movie that started it all, THE BLOB, starring Steve McQueen (and a cast of exciting young people) as a heroic Pennsylvanian fighting the formless fury of The Blob, and follow it up with the excellent 1988 big-budget remake starring Kevin Dillon and Shawnee Smith, presented on 35mm.
A portion of proceeds from this night of all-consuming terror will go to The Colonial Theatre’s ongoing fundraising efforts to ensure many more decades of Blobfests and entertainment to come.
Come on out for two big-screen Sci-Fi classics, and more surprises on the lot than you can shake a Blob-encrusted stick at!
