On Sunday September 17, The Mahoning Drive-In Theater presents A TRIBUTE TO PAUL REUBENS, a night dedicated to a man who brought joy and joviality to generations, be it his iconic alter-ego of Pee-wee Herman, or the countless TV and film appearances to which he always brought a mischievous spark.
A TRIBUTE TO PAUL REUBENS goes beyond the bow tie with a 35mm screening of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER (1992), featuring Paul Reubens as the kookycreepy vampire henchman Amilyn, right-claw man to Buffy’s undead nemesis Lothos (Rutger Hauer).
See the film that launched the legend of Buffy Summers, and watch Paul Reubens shine in his portrayal of a sinister, yet silly, badass baddie on the big, BIG screen!
Once Buffy’s upped the stakes, we’ll present a special mystery feature digitally, so stick around for more Reubens revelry, and join us in celebrating the man who may have been known as Pee-wee, but looms very, very large in our hearts.
A portion of ticket sales will be donated to The American Cancer Society.
Gates open at 6pm. Showtime at Sundown.
