On Thursday, September 19th: Cheech & Chong's UP IN SMOKE (on 35mm)
It will make you feel VERY funny…the movie that’ll have you rolling in your car!
Looking for a weeknight reason to celebrate celluloid? Join us at The Mahoning Drive-In Theater for Thursday Thread-Up! From grindhouse to arthouse, cult classics to deep cuts, we present a series of single-feature 35mm screenings several Thursday nights a month, to get you ready for the weekend!
Get ready to take a deep dive into the murky depths of cinema history, lighting up the mighty Mahoning screen with singular sensations several times a month, all season long!
Cheech and Chong star in their first feature film, UP IN SMOKE (1978), a tale of high times and staying one step ahead of the law, as they unwittingly drive a van made of the devil’s lettuce across the US/Mexican border, unaware that that the law, led by uptight Stacy Keach, is hot on their (smoky) trail!
Featuring cameos by Zane Busby, Rodney Bingenheimer, Rainbeaux Smith, and Tom Skerritt! A stoner comedy classic, on the big, BIG screen!
Don’t forget to grab your Thursday Thread-Up punch card, which lets you earn rewards for good attendance!
